One Big Thank You ...
Kia ora Steemit friends, today I opened my Steem account and noticed that there are 141 people following me! That is so awesome to see, especially considering I have only been here for a few weeks. I know some of you, but the most of you I might yet get to know. I hope you are all real people ;-)
What does "Kia Ora" mean?
"Kia Ora" is an expression in the Māori language, and simple means "hello". Literally translated it has a meaning of "be well or healthy". These days you see and hear "kia ora" all over the New Zealand, and it is considered one of the most important words every kiwi should know. The Māori from the Pacific Island Cook have a similar word "kia orana" with an equal meaning.
I was going to wait to write this when I reached 250 followers (nice round number), but I thought now is as good a time as any! I hope that you have decided to follow me because my writings or comments provide you with some small or big value!
What prompts me to leave a comment, or to write an article? Well, it can be a lot of things: something funny or witty, something where I have a strong opinion of or just something beautiful that stands out - like a great piece of art work.
My passions for writing for the future will most likely be centered around these topics
- natural health and medicine
- gardening, self-sustainability, living frugal
- changing the system that we have now for the better (sound money, limited government, self-education, freedom)
- I like web design in Wordpress and affiliate marketing. Loads of things I can write about there
- I trade the currency markets and keep up to date with what is happening, financially, around the world. Volumes to write about this subject!
- I like fine NZ beer, so I'll be drinking a few and sharing my thoughts
- As you might have guessed I live in New Zealand and love the amazing nature here. Lots of photos and stories to share!
- ... loads more, but that's a start.
Thanks again for the follow and I will no doubt interact with you at some stage - one the joys of not being a Steembot :-)
ps. the cover photo was taken at Ohope Beach, New Zealand. Not far from where I live - just a magical place!
Chuck Norris once climbed Mount Cook, walking on his hands ...
Congrats and good luck.
... He picked a beautiful mountain to go bare knuckle climbing then ;)
Thanks for dropping by @smasssh
I know, have a colleague (already 17 years living in Netherlands) who was born at the foot of Mount Cook, who told me about it. Have a nice day, or should i say evening already? haha

Ohope is a magical place... we go there often and walk the track over the hills to the small beach on the other side. Recommend Ohope to everyone ;-)
