I WON ROUND ONE!!!!

On Saturday, April 21st at around 2am, my husband, showed me a contest being run by @anomadsoul  and   @guyfawkes4-20 for @sndbox, for Sandbox Summer Camp. @erodedthoughts expressed that I should enter. 

Thinking this was the first day of the contest, I said; "ok, I will check it out later today, when I get up and see what I have to do." 

I did not realize that day was the middle of the contest and that I only had until Tuesday at 11:59 to have all three tasks completed. One task is a story of at least 2000 words. The only task that made me a little worried was the one where I had to write about myself. That is extremely hard for me. The story post was refreshing because I am still trying to get used to writing a story of a 1000 words or less :( Writing 2000 words made me cheer. 

Well...........I got to 4000 words and freaked out!!! I told @erodedthoughts that I would have to start over and figure out how to get it shorter. He told me to wait and got clarification that I was fine. My story ended at almost 7000 words. I thought great; I am done. There is no way I will win, but I was happy with it. I didn't want to change it, other than to add more. I could have gone more in-depth with all the characters. I thought I could continue it later.

I WON!!!!!! I was chosen to go to the next challenge!!!! I am beyond thrilled, and I have had a smile on my face all day. I never thought anyone would like my writing, which I found to be untrue with my first story I posted, but that was not really my true writing style. I like what I wrote yet Maddening is what I love to write. @erodedthoughts told me I could only enter the contest if I wrote who I really am. I did and guess what; they liked it :)

I cannot wait for the next challenge!!! Thank you from the bottom of my heart @anomadsoul,   @guyfawkes4-20, @sndbox for having this contest. You have made my year :)
