Black Scorpion from Thailand
Hi, Dear Steemians Friends.
Today I want to continue speaking about the all the nice animals I can find in my backyard and today is the turn of the scorpions. Many, many times I have to remove big black scorpions as they often come close to the house. The black scorpions of Thailand and most of the South East Asian countries are quite big with a size between 10 to 17 centimeters and it also looks very massive. Their color are often black or dark greenish and it glows under a black light. It is not an aggressive animal but it also not really fear human, most of the times it will stand his ground when human comes around it and will try to face you in a pacific manner. Many foreigners are fearfull of the scorpions and same as for spiders it come from the TV always showing it as a dangerous animal. The scorpion is classified as an Arachnids (spiders) and if your looking good it has the same number of legs than a spider (8 legs). Scorpions has poison and it delivers it with its sting at the back of his tail. Most of the times the biggest scorpions are not the most dangerous one and their poison is comparable with the one from a Bee or a Wasp, but it can be dangerous for allergic people. If a scorpion find his way to your body, don't be scare as it is like the Tarantula it never target its support, just don't put your hand in front of it. If you come to encounter one, it will faces you and not attack so give him his space and everything will be fine. Here in Thailand the small transparent scorpions is more dangerous and can be deadly but you have less chance to see it. Most of the time you will encounter the Black Scorpion during the rainy season. Here are some pictures I took from time to time and also another kind of scorpion is the Whip Scorpion.

In the summer recess we travelled to the desert; my cousin was playing barefoot to bite a scorpion in his foot; Fortunately, my grandfather has experience in removing the poison.
Here too the older people have the knowledge about removing poison. But I know Morocco scorpion have stronger poison than the black Thai scorpion.

I have plenty of them around my place, you can see them next to the trees at rainy season especially at night time. In the north, there is a lot of them but also everywhere in Thailand. THanks

Yes there is, it does not attack human and it just needs his space to live in love and happiness
we have scorpions in my country and last year a little girl died because of it's sting.
This can happen especially in the desert like countries where the scorpions have stronger poison. Like brown or white scorpions.

Yes, of course, they are living animals. I catch them and relocated them to a wild area, my dogs always get nervous around scorpions or snakes. On the pictures, there is 4 specimen. 3 Black and 1 whip scorpion.

I use to get attacted by skorpion! totally painful 😣
this must be because you've seat on it or disturb it in some way because scorpions will never come to attack you without a good reason and the reason is always that human disturb it. But sure it is painful especially if it is the smallest scorpions beige color or transparent. A friend also gets hit by it but it was because he puts his foot close to it.
