This routinely happens in Thailand. The worst thing that can happen is they find a way in and out of your roof, then they party up there every damn night. I had a house like that once and your only choice is to poison them, which can be much much worse than the noise :)
They can join the ant party :-)
I dont live there anymore and only have those anymore. Dont miss the rats though
