James should have been treated better than this for the fact he even married a Thai woman, why can't he be given some privileges for the sake of his wife?

Keep in mind that when you do comply, and do have a work permit, you also pay relatively insane taxes on a completely made up salary that is based on nothing more than what country you come from.

Their is no way you can grow your economy behaving this manner, life must not be made difficult for foreign investors. If things are going like this, no foreigner would like to invest in Thailand again.

I can understand James condition for accepting such a dubious contract.
