I heard the story of the recent school shooting that happened in Texas. Its is unbelievable how often these things happen and I think there should be many steps taken to prevent these kinds of things from happening in the future.

I personally don't think that banning guns is the fool proof strategy here. Guns are already out there and can be obtained legally or illegally.

I think one main thing that should be done to help prevent these kinds of tragedies is installing metal detectors etc in all schools everywhere, it should be done yesterday, should be paid for by the government and have nothing to do with the school budget.

The main reason I wanted to write this post though is to kind of put out there my personal opinion on how kids and others might be able to do something and maybe not do to help prevent these tragedies.

I have seen the stories about the Texas shooter and that his social media having posts of Neo Nazi stuff etc. That is greatly disturbing because in this time in age to be for Nazis is just plain stupid.

The other thing that jumped out at me was the fact that one of his friends from school was saying that the shooter was bullied by other students as well as coaches in the school.

Don't get me wrong, I do not think any bullying or anything like that is totally responsible for what he did and is in no way any justification.

I'm just simply saying that there is also no justification in any life situation when its ok to bully anyone.

People like to change the name of bullying to other names like "roasting" etc but there is no situation in our life that it is ok to make fun of anyone in front of others to make them feel bad about themselves.

Every person has a different background and a different family and beliefs they were brought up with.

Some people because of bullying commit suicide others want revenge and kill people like the Texas shooter. That might not be the only thing that triggered him either, i dont know.

Other people grow stronger and learn to deal with it, fight back in a normal way and go on with their life unaffected.

You see there is no way for anyone to say how another person will react to being bullied by people for a certain amount of time.

The thing is this. There is completely no justification for what the guy did and the violence in the school. There is zero justification for the guy shooting and killing people.

But there also is Zero justification for other students bullying anyone in school and especially coaches and teachers.

No one deserves death and no one deserves to be bullied. Everyone deserves to be loved, accepted, cared for and respected.

That's all.
