To prepare a bowl of rice, please follow the steps below.
Put 1 cup of rice into a saucepan with 2 cups of water.
Add an egg and boil it in the pan.
Remove from heat after boiling for 10 minutes.
For pure white rice:

If you find an egg yolk in your cooked rice, then you've failed!

If there is a mix of egg yolks and egg whites inside the cooked rice, congratulations! You have created half white half black rice. Now you only need to dye it one more color for a full rainbow bowl of rice. For pure purple or orange dyed rice:
For this type of rice you'll have to add lots of food coloring during the cooking process. If your color isn't very vibrant, try adding more food coloring until you're happy with the result. This type of dyed boiled eggs is usually served as a side dish at birthday parties for kids in Japan.
