If Tesla Were Alive Today? Wigs and Fists Would Be Fly’n!

In 1909, this cutie pie scientist foretold of the cellphone — later, in 1926 he predicted that women might one day “run the world,” an idea no one could imagine any more than cellular service. Somebody call Beyoncé and Oprah.

Nikola Tesla (yeah, that guy) was right about electricity and Alternating Current. He was a seriously brilliant inventor — far superior to Thomas Edison, whom, until he met Tesla, only knew how to harness a much more dangerous “Direct Current” for the first in-home electric light bulbs (which finally gives me a more pleasing context to AC/DC).
So, get this.
In 1926, he publicized his theory about women running the world that would have made him many women’s dream man if he were living today.
Oprah woulda married him up as faster than she can make a dollar — and I wouldn’t blame her if she did.

“Through countless generations, from the very beginning, the social subservience of women resulted naturally in the partial atrophy or at least the hereditary suspension of mental qualities which we now know the female sex to be endowed with no less than men.

But the female mind has demonstrated a capacity for all the mental acquirements and achievements of men, and as generations ensue that capacity will be expanded; the average woman will be as well educated as the average man, and then better educated, for the dormant faculties of her brain will be stimulated to an activity that will be all the more intense and powerful because of centuries of repose.
Woman will ignore precedent and startle civilization with their progress.”If this is where you are now, you can move closer to where you want to be."

Sapiosexual

Sapiosexual Chocolate, indeed.

It’s interesting that he died alone, penniless . . . and was practically shoved into obscurity — until very recently. But, don’t let that bum you out. He was spot-on with his predictions (i.e.; “It will soon be possible to transmit wireless messages around the world so simply that any individual can carry and operate his own apparatus.” --Popular Mechanics via the New York Times, October 1909).

Here's the good news for all my brainiac bros out there who know a good woman when you meet her--you're now en vogue.
