In the summer the model S reaches and exceeds the characteristic values ​​from the graphic, Tesla has published and which has been adapted by a German Teslanauts on km and km / h as well as extrapolated for the German highway operation at higher speeds.

Here is a real value from an 38 hour tour to a moderated team offsite to a customer and back.

For a distance of 560.7 km its had a consumption of 109.8 kW.
On the first 300 km 110 km / h (cruise control), then 240 km 120 km / h (cruise control), then there some altitude and country road with 70 km / h to 90 km / h. The destination has a height of 440 m above sea level. On the way there were some peaks and valleys, in which the recuperation works, of course. In the end it is at least 435 meters net towards downtown, my starting point.
Charging time:
Carge during my stay at a private column (16 A, 11kW) of the painting enterprise. Was excellent organized by our very good conference hotel. After a long trial period with the model S, someone there has decided for a Model X and ordered already. And the hotel manager was also very enthusiastic, I think soon the hotel itself will provide a lot of facilities.

Way back:
For the line of 550.0 km I had a consumption of 109.3 kWh, an average of 199 Wh / km.
Only on the return I was able to keep on the highway a speed of 120 km / h (cruise control) throughout where it was always possible (ie except construction sites and Brummi races, which today hardly took place because Germany during my return journey was the football fever - You can also follow on radio - main 1: 0). Due to the effect of 440 altimeters again to reach approx. Seabed height here in the region, it was thus possible to achieve a higher average speed than on the outward journey with approximately the same consumption.

In the end, the summer values ​​differ in every case very positively from the winter values. Thanks to the strong supercharger expansion on the part of Tesla.
