Something Terrible Happened to Us in New Year

In New Year, my mother, my brother, my brother's best friend and I went to celebrate Lazertag, a local video game and laser guns with which you can play. We had an amazing afternoon and when we got back home, we got into the car and mom drove down the street. Just at that moment, we noticed that in the middle of the road there was a guy dressed in camouflage clothes, looking at us.

He made no move to move, but just stood there, with that look that at least to me, it made my hair stand on end.

Mom blew the car horn, impatient for it to move, but that did not happen. Nervous, we watched as the guy began to walk towards the car, slowly and without removing the disturbed expression on his face.

-Let's go man, stand aside! Mom shouted, trying not to bring up her own anxiety, without success.

When the guy ran and hit his window violently, shouting something we could not understand, we all shouted and she put the vehicle in reverse to escape from there at full speed.

Spare parts of the scare and several streets away, we prepared to leave the friend of my brother at home. There we stayed for a while, while my brother and his partner played with the console that he had received for Christmas, and we drank some hot chocolate that his mother invited us.

Shortly after we got back into the car and started our way home. Suddenly, a car behind us honked its horn. It was a red van, quite old and well preserved. What really scared us was to see that the driver, was nothing more and nothing less than the type of camouflage clothing, watching us with real hatred in the eyes. And now it seemed that he wanted to reach us at all costs.

Mom accelerated trying to lose it, without success. From time to time, we could hear as the stranger shouted us threatening and threatening words from the window of his van, while my mother drove at such speed, that we did not have an accident by a miracle.

Unfortunately we could not lose it when we got home. We went down at full speed and entered, closing the doors, the windows and the curtains, and trying not to turn on the lights. While Mama called the police, I dared to look out of a window and saw that the van was parked on the opposite sidewalk.

He stayed there for a long time, until after five minutes he left and almost immediately a patrol arrived.

As much as the authorities sought her, they failed to find her or her driver and we stayed several days without leaving home, for fear of running into him again. However, nothing happened.

Today, however, I have seen the red van roaming my neighborhood once back from school. I do not want to tell my parents, because lately they have too many problems.

I feel that this stranger is still looking for us.
