But often these methods lead to undesirable consequences: to water pollution, deterioration of soil quality and release of large amounts of CO2 into the atmosphere. According to statistics, humanity produces about 2.12 billion tons of waste, including 100 million tons of biological waste, 1.3 billion tons of solid waste, 10 million tons of waste and 400 million tons of hazardous waste.
The Terra Green platform ensures the rational use of waste and its conversion into renewable energy sources such as electricity, heat, gas and biofuels, which reduces their impact on the environment.
The goal of the project
The main goal of the creators of the Terra Green project is to change the concept of waste and turn it into the largest resource that has not previously been used by people. In addition, the project developers intend to promote the creation of enterprises for the production of renewable energy in all countries of the world by introducing a mechanism of financial and credit incentives, where people can receive income from their participation in recycling.
Principle of operation
For recycling at the plant Terra Green will use the latest technology, including biomass gasification technology, gas conditioning systems and systems for the production of synthetic fuels. As part of this project, developers are striving to fulfill the following plans:
- optimize the operation of CHP by processing biological waste;
- the use of the Fischer-Tropsch process to produce synthetic fuel in the form of generator gas, which implies the process of gasification of biogas;
- methane synthesis from biomass waste;
- ensuring the production of hydrogen by steam gasification along with gas purification; forming mixed alcohols that can be used in the chemical industry or as octane promoters;
- pulp from biomass waste that can be used in the pulp and paper industry.
The main financial instruments of the platform will be the TGN coin, which can be used to purchase platform products, including electricity and heat. Since each coin provides a certain amount of electricity, this currency will be more stable than any supported by fiat or gold.
To ensure that all expected conditions are met, intelligent contracts will be concluded for the supply of electricity, heat and other goods.
Sale of electricity, heat and other goods will be carried out by local services, which will distribute services at an affordable price to users.
It is important to note that the TGN coin can also be used as an investment. From the second year of the project, coin owners will receive 0.5 percent of the total revenue from all renewable energy sources. TGN coins can be purchased during an ICO.
