Angkor Temple Guide: #18 Krol Ko

Krol Ko is nothing more than a simple small central tower temple with two surrounding laterite walls. On the ground running along the walls there are pediments that hold carvings. It is Buddhist by dedication, and was built at the end of the 12th century. It was constructed by King Jayavarman VII and sits to the north of Neak Pean.There is nothing really else to this place except to say that being of little interest to the hordes of tourists, this place offers a really pleasant venue at which to find some solitude.

One of the less visited but still interesting temples
There is not an awful to say about this one, but for the true Angkor fans it is part of the story. Each temple in its own way has its merits. They are all telling, in their own way, a part of the full story.
