I was Too BLIND to See...

We lost our 3rd child, in my wife's womb in 2004. We were devastated.

Yes, we already had two wonderful children before that, but we always wanted three.

And so we prayed, and asked God if it was His Will to give us another child...

Thankfully... the answer was YES!

And after 3 years later, our 3rd was born whilst we were living in Melbourne, Australia.

We named him Izrael, as he was the fulfilment of our prayer🙏 and a promise from God.

Izzie (as we love calling him) was a super HAPPY Baby!

He had a special way to make us all smile and laugh at his very unique antics ~ the "Jester" of the family. 😂 😂 😂

All was going so good for us that my wife and I did not notice something about Izzie...

We did not realize that Izzie had a severe EYE Condition

When we found out that Izzie had a condition called "Severe Long sightedness", our hearts broke. We blamed ourselves for not noticing... not paying enough attention, as Izzie was always this bubbly and worry-free child, full of energy and life.

We didn't know that his eye power was almost 1000 on both eyes!!

Which meant that he was seeing the WORLD in an extreme blur state for 4 years of his life!!

He never bumped into poles... and never once complained that he could not see our faces clearly.😢😢

Izzie just accepted his fate as the way it was, perhaps he thought "every other child" saw the world as he saw it...

I cried so much😭😭 (tears of joy and tears of regret) the day Izzie put on his first spectacles...

And he said "Daddy... it is so BRIGHT!!"

Today, Izzie is still the same boy... the same amount of Energy, Humour, Wit and Smiles.

He is so EASY (just like his name Izzie), that I know he often tells me...
"Dad, don't worry, I'm improving...God will touch my eyes."

Thank you Izzie-boy, for teaching me that the trials of life must be taken lightly...

Even if we cannot clearly SEE... we must never lose our VISION of our bright future!
