I love so very much how you have approached this, and perspective you have chosen for it - not someone with the gift. The idea of a sci-fi writer of old being correct is just amazing, and you take that to the next logical level, not just correct, but in the know. And it works so very very well! It is just so enjoyable to read, it is both such a good story, and so well written there is something about it that feels like an intimate moment between friends. It feels like we are sitting together in this little tobacco farm in (not so little!) Andorra, sharing a late night drink, and you have got this old scifi book out, and are there with me telling this story. There are moments I can almost feel the narrator tap the book between us. The way the story meanders a little just really adds to the immersive feel in this. And it is such a great way to meet the prompt!
