Sense8 is one of the most underrated show I have ever watched and I think was the most unfairly overlooked tv series of 2015. Sense8 is all about the story of 8 strangers who suddenly become emotionally and mentally linked. These 8 is spread on all parts of the world and includes a closeted Mexican action star, an underground kickboxing Korean businesswoman, a Chicago cop, an Icelandic DJ, a transgender hacker, a Nairobi bus driver, an Indian scientist and a German criminal. Making Sense8 one of the most diversed tv series ever made.

The first season generally tells the background of the eight, their everyday lives and how they try to figure out their interconnections. With an evil organization after their "sensate" abilities, they have no choice but to depend on each other and use their new found ability to protect one another by using each others special skills and knowledge.

Whenever someone is in danger, they just telepathically call someone for help. Need someone who knows martial arts to beat off opponents? They just call the Korean lady or the German criminal. Need someone who has knowledge on medicines and the likes? Call the Indian scientist. Need someone who can speak Mexican? The gay mexican actor can help. They help each other in every possible way they can.

I'm not gonna lie, Sense8 is probably one of the most confusing tv show I have ever watched. This is probably due to the characters being spread all over the world. One moment you're in the US, then BAM! you are suddenly watching an Indian girl unsure of her arranged marriage, then after a little while you are transported over to a gay actor in Mexico, or to a strong independent woman in Korea, or to Nairobi. It takes time to fully understand what the hell is going on.

Honestly, if not for the gay/lesbian erotic scenes I would have probably dropped it right on the go. It took me around 3 episodes to fully appreciate this show. Sure it's confusing at first and will probably dropped by many due to this, but given time and even rewatching the episodes all over again, it all makes complete sense and you just can't help fall in love with it.

Sadly, after Season 2 the show was cancelled. According to an article on Polygon, Sense8 was too expensive for too small of an audience. An estimated $9million was alloted per episode, far greater than Game of Thrones budget at that time of $6million per episode. With only a few people watching, Netflix has no choice but to cancel the series. However, due to many online petitions and fans wanting Sense8 back, Netflix decided to release a 2hour finale episode this year to finally give a well-deserved closure to this underrated tv show.
