Premise

The DAO Squad is an elite group of individuals, assembled by a decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) and tasked with spending $100 million in whatever ways they see fit.

Their Mission, Should They Choose to Accept It

They can spend the money however they please. Every episode could be different. They could help the police solve a crime, or help a cancer patient get their dying wish. They have talents, a large pool of money, and total freedom. They could rob a corrupt bank, or hack and expose an international law firm that specializes in creating tax havens. This is a Mission Impossible for the 21st century. A team of exceptional individuals who aren't the puppets of powerful elites. They are a team engineered by the crowd so as to lead to beneficial outcomes, simply by enabling the chosen individuals to work together while pursuing their ambitions, obeying their moral codes, and leveraging one another's unique and spectacular talents.

The Team

So far I only have two or three characters, I think a few more would be ideal, preferably some women, and I'm more than open to suggestions.

EDWARD (modeled after Edward Snowden) is a cyber-security expert, hacker, and internationally known whistleblower. Edward would serve as the moral center of the group. While the motivations of the DAO are not necessarily clear, perhaps he was included on the team to make sure that nothing evil is done with the funds.

CASEY (modeled after YouTube celebrity Casey Neistat) is a social media savant, capable of making almost any information go viral and leveraging the power of his audience, many of whom would do anything for him.

ELON (modeled after Elon Musk) the real-life Tony Stark. He could be the de facto leader of the group. He's more like a mentor--the "Charlie" in Charlie's Angels. Not necessarily a large presence, but a helpful guide.

Potential Characters

JAMES (modeled after James Franco)

PALMER (modeled after Palmer Lucky founder of Oculus). A tinkerer, capable of building remarkable hardware.

CODY (modeled after Cody Wilson founder of Defense Distributed)

This is an idea I hope to bat around a bit more and develop a bit further. It's really just a germ of an idea so suggestions are more than welcome.
