Telemarketing- Robotic callers

How do you feel when your phone rings in the middle of the night and finding the caller to be unknown, or an automated call from a company or service providers? Is it a very important call or another bizarre call from companies trying to market their product via automated telephone calls?

This is a very daunting situation world-wide, and the calls comes mostly when you are resting or when you had missed some important call or some missed appointment which prompts users to pick most of this unsolicited calls.

Millions of users across are been violated and each have put call restrictions on many of this numbers in an effort to elude this telemarketers, but the sad truth is that; most of the adamant marketing or telecommunication agencies always find another way round to bypass restrictions placed on them and still make calls to customers without their consents.

Using Robo-calling packages to call millions of users then redirecting this users that had ignorantly answered such calls to call-centers or to a marketing agent on stand-by is a norm. The immediate dangers this poses is that, internet scammers and fraudsters makes use of this scheme to target their intending and ignorant victims.

Very popular system for internet fraudsters to engage gross of victims at a time. It is now a menace as Security agencies and the Government of every countries find it hard to curb this wide spreading actions due to the automated modes and routine operations involved.

The United States Federal Trade Commission (FTC) is the first to issue an action to offending corporations and firms who engage such mode of marketing, with this; it is easier to streamline and trace Robo-calls when companies Stop using this system. This is a form of justice for all the wasted calls and people who had fall victim to telemarketing scams.

The FTC had recently completed an investigation of a Miami based Robo-calling company Marketing strategy: Leaders Inc, had been recommended for a massive $120 Million USD fine for the owners. Per the findings outlined in the citations, this company knowingly ignored the Do not call list. disrupted emergency telecommunication services, improperly masqueraded their numbers to avoid detection, and schemed to defraud victims by representing themselves as associated with well known brands.................Matthew Rosenquist, Cyber Security Strategist.

For Robo-calling companies, this is the perfect Scape-Goating for them all to desist from such forms of operations, now having the knowledge that they are liable to be investigated and caught with a severe form of prosecution accordingly by the appropriate authorities.

many software companies had risen to the tasks of protecting innocent citizens from such violations by launching mobile apps that detect callers immediately per calls. For example in Nigeria, Truecaller is one of those apps that displays the identity of any masqueraded caller.

The law states: making automated or pre-recorded calls to emergency telephone lines or to consumer's wireless phones and residential telephone lines without consent is illegal............FCC

It will be the best day in Africa as a whole and most countries across the globe if such laws are institutionalized, to deal with some of the telecommunication companies who makes the life of their subscribers miserable with Robotic callings at all times.
