Great TED talk! Don Tapscott's explanation really touched on many of the potential usage cases of the blockchain, and provided sufficient motivation for its adoption. His technical overview effectively summarized the encryption involved in the global ledger. He even delved into the ethereum "smart contracts".
I would recommend this video to anybody who is unfamiliar with the technical details or the motivation behind blockchain technology.

The era of giant corporate monopolies that funnel our inherent wealth into the hands of a select few must come to an end. Why are ruthless corporations, driven by unbridled greed, allowed to plunder our natural resources all around the world? Why are giant financial corporations allowed to lock individuals and entire countries into perpetual debt traps? Understanding that economic justice is deeply tied to human rights, wich are tied to environmental protection and so on, is crucial, in order to sustain and grow a more peaceful, plentiful, future for all. Thank you, Mr. Tapscott, for helping me see the big picture in such a clear and simple way.
