이야기하는 방식이 너무 좋다 진짜. 표정과 제스쳐, 말하는 톤 모든게 너무 유머러스한 사람.
아기자기한 이미지들로 이해를 돕고 전달하려는 바까지 완벽한 느낌.
이런 유머가 있는 강의가 너무 좋다. 증말.

문장구조가 참 이쁘다. 내거로 만들고 싶은 문장들.

1.. stay civil _ 시민으로 남아라. 아직은 점잖은 척해라 같은 느낌==> 조용히, 가만히 있다.

every single 이것도 엄청 많이 씀. every single day!, every single word is important! 모든 날, 모든단어 다 중요해! 강조해주는거.
Every single things what she is doing makes me annoying!!!
I gave up couple of days later.

Epiphany is a Christian festival on the 6th of January which celebrates the arrival of the wise men who came to see Jesus Christ soon after he was born.
주가 다가온 것처럼 뭔가 깨닳음이나 새로운 것을 일깨운 느낌. 아!! 띠용!

You get started maybe a little slowly, but you get enough done in the first week that, with some heavier days later on, everything gets done, things stay civil.
And I knew for a paper like that, my normal work flow was not an option.
So I’d start off light, and I’d bump it up in the middle months, and then at the end, I would kick it up into high gear, just like a little staircase. How hard could it be to walk up the stairs?

I just wanted to enjoy that one moment when all of you thought, this guy is amazing!__ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

Now the Panic Monster is dormant most of the time.
It’s always been a dream of mine to have done a TED Talk in the past.
But what struck me was the contrast between the light tone of the post and the heaviness of these emails.
The frustration is not that they couldn’t achieve their dreams; it’s that they weren’t even able to start chasing them.
There’s no deadlines on those things at first, because nothing’s happening at first, not until you ‘ve gone out and done the hard work to get momentum, get things going.
The Monkey’s sneakiest trick is when the deadlines aren’t there.
We need to think about what we’re really procrastinating on, because everyone is procrastinating on something in life.

Instant Gratification Monkey= 즉각적인 보상, 행복감을 주는 원숭이. 유혹하는 모든 것들.
Panic Monster = 저 원숭이를 물리쳐줄 현실감. 쪼달리고 진짜 발등에 불떨어 졌을때 나타나는 애. 원숭이를 물리쳐준다.

그 어떤 사람도 일을 미루지 않는 사람은 없다.
기한이 정해진 일에서는 Panic Monster가 나타나 주지만, 보통의 미루는 일들.
일생에서 미루는, 자신의 꿈이나 평소에 해보고 싶었던 일들. 꾸준히 하고싶은 일들.
이런 자의적으로 시작하는 일들에 대해 감시하고 점수를 메기고 재촉하는 사람이 없다.
그래서 이런저런 말들을 핑계로, 핑계일수도 아닐 수도 있지만, 미루게된다.
모두가 그러하고 어쩔수 없지만, 이것만은 기억하자고 메세지를 던진다.

We need to stay aware of the Instant Gratification Monkey.

단지 기억하는 것만으로도 괜찮다는 것.
난 이 말과 함께 이 강의의 마지막이 너무나도 좋다.

어떠한 강의를 들어도, 인상깊은 말들도 당장 실천으로 옮기기는 정말 힘들다. 지속되는 고민과 실행착오들이 쌓이고 나서야만이 가치관이 정립되고 습관이 되어 행동으로 이어진다.
그래서, 이런 이야기를 해도 당장 무언가를 꾸준히 시작할 수는 없다.
단지, 우리는 어떤 일생의 숙원을 미루고 있고, 그것을 시작하기에는 힘들지만,
적어도 그러한 것들이 있다는 것을 잊지는 말자는 메세지가 너무 좋다.

이 것을 본 사람들은 또다시 일을 미루고 똑같은 곳에 머무를 자신을 볼 것이기에.
좌절하지 말고 그저 꾸준히 기억만 하고 있자고 말해주는 사람이 너무나도 고맙다.

알고만 있자. 잊지만 말자. 그리고 고민을 조금씩 하자.
그런 것들이 쌓이다보면, 어느 순간 우리는 움직이고 있을지 모른다.
