This tool probably will not be needed on deserted island but it is impossible to live without it in the real world. It has many functions but everybody knows what is the wrench for. This, on the photo with me is a plumber wrench. 

What is a wrench?

A wrench is a tool or a weapon that is very good to have under your car seat. It is used for handling situations when someone acts like a moron on the road and almost got you killed. For that situation, the best to use is middle sized wrench because it is easier to swing it than with big one, and it has a large heavy head which can cause serious damage. There are many types and sizes of wrenches and many of them are useless for this purpose. 

The most famous is open - end wrench, everybody has a set of all sizes at home. 

 

Then we have box - end wrench, combined wrench, nut - head wrench, adjustable wrench, monkey wrench, plumber wrench, socket wrench, cross - rim wrench... there are so many types of the wrenches and I can't list them all. 

I mentioned that wrenches come in many sizes. So this small sized wrenches are useless in traffic regulation, but you can use them as tools. 

Actually, with a wrench you can get grip and mechanical advantage  in rotation of nuts and bolts. 

One of the basic functions of this middle sized wrench is breaking the windshield of someones car. For that function we use pointed size of it's head. With just one strike, the glass is all over the driver.

So, wrench is very good for working on skull fractures, inner bleedings and breaking ribs and noses!

But sometimes, just sometimes, a wrench can be useful for totally different actions!
