Worlds Oil Giants turn to RES
We frequently talk about renewable energy sources development in Russia. Today we want to give an example of a western oil and gas company, decided to use alternative energy. This is Exxon Mobile Corp, the largest US oil company.
According to Bloomberg, Exxon Mobile Corp is looking for a supplier capable of providing at least 100, or even better 250 megawatts of solar or wind energy.
Curious that the company is ready to conclude 12, 15 or 20-year-long contracts with the bid winners!
New York Bloomberg NEF analyst Kyle Harrison consider the news as very positive for RES: "The largest oil and gas companies are ready to invest in clean energy, what means that renewable energy sources are competitive to fossil fuels. This is the best way to show that renewable energy is attention worthy. "
By the way, for instance: Shell is also plans to use 32 percent of solar and 13 percent of wind energy by 2070.
As we see, the giants of the words oil industry turn to RES.
