Blockchain startups attracted $ 822 million in 2019
Outlier Ventures venture company conducted a study, aimed at how many funds are attracted by startups associated with digital technologies, namely blockchain.
So, in the first half of 2019, blockchain startups received an investment of $ 822 million!
This amount was obtained from 279 venture capital transactions, 159 of them were related to the provision of initial funding.
As the researchers say, such a large sum suggests that business initiatives in the blockchain has not decreased, despite various market instability.
Lawrence Lundy-Brian, partner and head of research at Outlier Ventures notes that the favorites for investors are crypto-exchanges, significant part of the money is invested in their development.
So, for example, only one crypto currency exchange Bithumb attracted $ 200 million for its development.
Lundy-Brian also marked that recently direct investment in protocols that are implemented in exchange to tokens and shares are developed.
