What innovations have technology companies prepared?

On Friday, the largest European consumer electronics fair, IFA 2022, began in Berlin. Below are some of the innovations that companies presented to the public on this occasion.

Asus' zenbook 17 fold OLED laptop stands out among the products that attract with their unusualness. It is a laptop with a folding screen. It has a diagonal of 43.94 centimeters (17.3 inches) when unfolded, and a screen diagonal of 31.75 centimeters (12.5 inches) when folded. When unfolded, the laptop is actually a tablet with the Windows operating system, which can be connected to a keyboard and other accessories. When it is folded, the lower half of the lower half of the folding screen can also become a virtual keyboard. For more comfortable typing, it is better to place and magnetically attach a wireless keyboard made especially for this device through the lower half of the folding screen.

The laptop is powered by an Intel i7-1250U processor with an integrated iris xe graphics card. In addition, the device also has 16 GB of working memory and 1 TB of storage space (PCIe SSD). It is a very interesting concept, which should also hit Slovenian shelves in the fourth quarter of this year. But most will only watch it from afar. Presumably, we can count on a price in the range of 3,600 or 4,000 euros.

The bendable monitor and the largest OLED TV

The flexibility of screens was also at the fore at LG, which attracted attention with the lg flex lx3 TV. This turns into a monitor. How does a TV turn into a monitor you ask? LG says that by bending. You read that right. LG's 106.68-centimeter (42-inch) 4K OLED screen can be curved. Only the curvature of the screen can be controlled by the user. The highest reaches a radius of 800 millimeters. There are 18 different levels between maximum curvature and a flat screen. The curvature of the screen is otherwise controlled by the levers in its stand. The company has not yet revealed the price and date of the start of sales of the TV/monitor. The same company also showed the world's largest OLED TV at the fair - 97g2, with a diagonal of 246.38 centimeters (97 inches). They did not reveal the price for it either, but it will almost certainly not be sold below 10,000 euros.

Sound through bone conduction

Philips belonged to a group of companies that did not participate in the fair this year, but presented their innovations in parallel at separate events. They announced the next generation of their ambilight TVs with OLED screens. The more expensive OLED+937 model with 4K resolution has Bowers & Wilkins speakers and four-room ambient lighting built into the base unit, and in Slovenia costs from around 3,300 euros for a model with a diagonal of 165 centimeters (65 inches) and 4,700 euros for a model with a diagonal of 195.58 centimeters (77 inches). The "cheaper" OLED+907 model has a weaker driver from the same manufacturer, three-sided ambient lighting, but still 4K resolution. It also comes in smaller diagonal dimensions from 165 centimeters (65 inches) to 139.7 centimeters (55 inches). The price in Slovenia is around 3,000 euros or 2,500 euros. In addition to televisions, Philips also introduced new speakers, soundbars and headphones. Among the latter, sports (taa7607) and children's wireless headphones (tak4607), which transmit sound with the help of bone conduction, so that you can hear the music and the surroundings at the same time.
