I think parents will like this product because it makes the kids actually do something in the physical world. Many parents feel like children lack enough practical tactile experience and it's a handicap - especially gamers. There are several new subscription services, I've noticed, of businesses who will send you a kit each month so your kid can assemble something engineering-y or science-y. Perhaps this product was designed to appeal to parents who worry their kids aren't getting enough hands-on learning.
