Hong Kong attracts Blockchain talent !!!!

Hong Kong is seeking to attract talent from around the world in innovative technology disciplines, including the Blockchain, by issuing a new approach to immigration policy.

The Hong Kong government released a talent list on Tuesday, including 11 statements that are now eligible for additional points as a bonus to apply for admission to QMAS in the city. One of these areas has been devoted to innovation and technology experts in areas such as artificial intelligence, robotics, distributed computing technology, biotechnology, industrial / chemical engineering, etc.

The system was launched in 2006 and allows successful applicants to enter and settle in China's Special Administrative Region without first having to get a job offer from a local employer. According to the description of the program, it is a common scheme based on quotas. Seeks to attract highly skilled or talented people to settle in Hong Kong to enhance Hong Kong's economic competitiveness.

The selection process requires applicants to meet many pre-requisites before giving them points. Of these requirements, there are two tests that must be passed: general points testing and achievement-based testing. Points are also used to compete with other applicants each year.

To qualify for innovation and technology, Blockchain professionals must have a bachelor's or higher degree, have experience in leading companies, have received training in this field and have sufficient knowledge of how technology is applied in financial services. The effort comes at a time when the Hong Kong government is taking the lead in promoting Blockchain's adoption and the city's competitiveness in financial technology.

As previously reported by CoinDesk, the Monetary Authority of Hong Kong, the city's actual central bank, is set to launch a network of distributed account technology among several banks in the region to facilitate commercial finance transactions.
