Samsung competes against itself

in #technology7 years ago

No one disputes that the Galaxy S9 is one of the best phones of 2018, but in its own fief has a serious enemy to knock down.

In a Mobile World Congress starring the absence of great news, Samsung has been one of the few companies that managed to shine at the fair. Your S9 has many ballots to become the absolute reference of the sector, and, with total security, will reach sales figures of the order of a million.

However, the latest creation of the South Korean technology has a great challenge ahead: give sufficient reasons for the end user to invest the almost 1,000 euros that will reach the stores.

The Galaxy S9 is an amazing phone, but the absence of a breakthrough feature makes the Galaxy S8 win whole as a purchase option.

Unlike in previous years, the problem is not only to beat the iPhone X and position itself as a more solvent proposal. In his own fiefdom, Samsung has a spear that directly affects the new creature. It's called Galaxy S8, and in retailers like Amazon you can already buy it for only 518 euros.

The old Samsung star boasts some of the biggest assets of the Galaxy S9. It offers the screen infinity display, has a really attractive design and has an extremely solvent camera. Almost the same "Samsung experience" at just over half the price of the new South Korean creature.

Unlike in previous years, Samsung does not enjoy that breakthrough feature with which to "steal" the mind of the consumer. The S9 is more an evolution than a revolution; and that, considering how unbelievably good the Galaxy S8 is already, I could get to play against it.

Im waiting another year before upgrading my s7. I suppose things will be even more evolved by then. I tend to buy a phone one step behind the current "must have best" though. Thats just me.
