Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning of all the places it's impact on healthcare industry is going to be beyond imagination. We all know how AI is making rapid progress in various spheres of life but the speed at which it is going to impact healthcare industry is definitely something to watch out for.

Imagine a robot performing a surgery after 50 years down the line, it might sound scary but that is what future beholds for healthcare industry. The entire healthcare system is witnessing a fast transition all because of Artificial Intelligence.

In one of the new research report by one of the acclaimed consulting firm Accenture the insights on AI is quite astonishing. They have reported that AI will progress at a growth rate of 40% annually.

"Artificial Intelligence could play a big role in supporting prevention, diagnosis, treatment plans, medication management, precision medicine and drug creation," - Bruce Liang

AI and Machine Learning backed with their fast algorithms & calculations can share the findings based on patient's medical history in just a click of a button. Just imagine how easy the life of doctors will be, and at the same time it will take away the chances of human error.

There were instances when patient's medical history used to get mixed up and doctor's used to give treatment based on wrong medical reports.

It is now pretty much evident that lesser the interference of humans in handling data the lesser is the chance of getting any error while analyzing data. Since we all know machines can handle huge amount of data sets faster and that too efficiently and effectively, I don't see any point of having human intervention in data handling.

Developing and studying machine intelligence can help us better understand and appreciate our human intelligence. Used thoughtfully, AI can augment our intelligence, helping us chart a better and wiser path forward.

Currently most of the testing by AI and Machine learning are still in experimental stage. This is where I think human intervention is needed to validate the accuracy of the test findings.

The best part about machine learning and AI is that even if the test accuracy is not at par, it learns by itself and next time it's accuracy improves compared to it's previous test result. Eventually after sometime the test result can easily be bench-marked for future scope of improvements.

Is it time to accept AI across all the functionalities in healthcare is still a debatable issue...!!

One of the bigger question is whether smaller healthcare organizations be able to afford the AI platform. Not only the investment cost is high but also the scope of work at current capabilities doesn't seem to be vast.

Companies have to be smart enough to leverage AI capabilities taking in to consideration their financial standing and the long term business objective.

Healthcare is going to be one of those industries that is elevated and made better by machine learning and artificial intelligence."

How AI and machine learning improves healthcare system is yet to be seen, but I'm sure we are going to achieve a rapid progress compared to last few decades.

great post thanks for sharing... :)

Informative post.... Lets see if this can really become the future :)

Great post , in a short time, artificial intelligence will replace humans in all areas, we have to prepare for when this happens.

it has already started we just need to be more smart ;)
