🔰Doomsday Seed Vault to Safeguard Humanity🔰
What it takes for humanity to survive a catastrophic global crisis. Well, there is already a plan in place to mitigate any future unseen man-made or natural calamities.
In one of the remote location in Arctic, there is a Global Seed Vault to preserve the wide variety of plant seeds. The main intention of this vault is to save humanity and give humans the power to survive any kind of global crisis. It was built in the year 2008.
The seed vault is managed under terms spelled out in a tripartite agreement between the Norwegian government, the Crop Trust and the Nordic Genetic Resource Center (NordGen).
The vault is built 150 meters inside a mountain. It is based on a concept similar to a conventional savings bank account where one can safely store their valuables and decide the future course of action.
The vault's temperature is maintained at -18 degree Celsius over the entire year. It is basically agriculture behind closed doors. The below picture gives more detail about how things are functioned inside the vault.
If a crop variety is extinct it cannot be reversed. The vault acts as a place to protect the crops from extinction. It has the power to re-create the agriculture in the world.

I'm really amazed after reading and researching about this Global seed vault. We have seen many movies and TV series surrounding the doomsday/apocalypse but to know that in reality there is already a plan in place fascinates me to the core. The general population doesn't have access to visit the vault. It's good to see we humans are backing our survival skills and at the same time preparing for the unpredictable future.

Apparently the vault was flooded by melting ice due to highest recorded temperature in the region.
