the masternodes keys have been split for convenience. All functions of a masternode operator used to rely on a single key. This key was used to create the node, restart or perform maintenance on the node, and vote for treasury proposals. Additionally, masternode rewards previously were sent to a single address. Now, masternode keys have been split. Now there is once for:

• Collateral
• Operator
• Voting

Deterministic Masternode List

Now you can get a list of masternodes without verifying the entire Dash blockchain to determine who is valid. The result is that SPV and light clients will be able to access and verify a list of masternodes. This means, among many other implimentations, Dash will be able to provide PrivteSend mixing on mobile devices. You can finally use Dash like Cash while on the go which is soon to be achieved by @pivx

66,461 Times Faster Confirmation Than BTC With Double Spend Protection

If the Tx isn't confirmed on the blockchain it could be double spent. Even if it is confirmed, the network could be attacked. That's why most of the time you are asked to wait for 6 confirmations for BTC. Dash can simply utilize masternodes to lock a Tx for 24 hours using masternodes. What this does is making the network reject any Tx that is in conflict with the locked Tx and it only takes about 1.3 seconds for this lock. there 86,400 seconds in 24 hours. Devide that by 1.3 and you get 66461.538461538461538461538461538

It used to cost 10 times larger fee for this feature. But now Tx with less than 4 inputs (about 90% of total transactions) automatically use InstantSend making it more secure than 6 confirmations of BTC.

Immunity To 51% Attacks is Coming

Dash has come a long way. Throughout the whole way all of PoW coins were vulnerable to 51% attacks. Soon it'l be everything except Dash with the next upgrade with hybrid security (which I was expecting since 2017 - The articles are buried somewhere on STEEM. I can't really dig it up at the moment). Basically it comes down to 51% attack using Hashes will also have to gain control of 51% of masternodes.

• Dash circulating supply: 8,575,891
• Masternode Count: 4744
• 55.31% of the circulating supply is stuck in Masternodes

Unless a group of masternodes are on board of the attack or are coerced into giving up large amount of assets, a 51% attack is never doing to happen. Unfortunately nobody is really talking about this. It's the same story with many projects on STEEM. All of those things are good things. It means we re in early enough for a good ROI.
