Apple officially announced the iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max and iPhone XR at its "Gather Round" event, with the usual quantity of hype and some pretty serious price points too. You can read all our coverage of that event at our Apple launch news hub.

Rather more silently, Apple also dropped a number of older iPhone lines. The iPhone 6s was no surprise, and neither was the iPhone SE, but also put out to pasture was the iPhone X. It only had a single year at the top of Apple's iPhone family tree before being culled, which means that the only stock you'll see from now on is from external retailers.

Google Pixel 2 XL

Google is set to announce the Google Pixel 3 series phones on 9 October, which isn't that far away. That means that the very last stock of the Google Pixel 2 XL is with retailers now, with many simply not offering it – but for those that do, there are some real bargains to be had.
