WHATSAPP has just released an update to its users and it’s ready to make the most popular messaging application much easier for the users.
Whatsapp with over 1.5 billion users is the most popular messaging application, recently it was revealed that over 60 billion messages are sent across whatsaap daily. However a big new update is about to add more features on the application which will make it more user friendly.
Group chats is the best way for users to interact at the same time but some how can be very annoying if users continue to receive alert.
Whatsapp is working on this update to improve this service with features that will allow one person to control what is being posted in the group. The new update is available on both iOS and Android.
WHAT’S NEW IN LATEST WHATSAPP UPDATE?
GROUP DESCRIPTION: A short blurb found under group info that allows you to set the purpose, guidelines, or topics for the group. When a new person joins a group, the description will show up at the top of the chat.
ADMIN CONTROLS: In group settings, there's now a control that allows admins to restrict who can change the group's subject, icon, and description.
GROUP CATCH UP: When you've been away from a group chat, quickly catch up on messages that mention or reply to you by tapping on a new @ button that appears at the bottom right corner of the chat.
PARTICIPANT SEARCH: Find anyone in a group by searching for participants on the group info page.
Admin permissions of other group participants can now be removed by admins, and some who started or created a group can not be removed from the group they started.
In this update includes the ability to play facebook and instagram videos directly from the whatsapp app. That is to say that facebook and instagram video links received directly in your chat could be watched there.
This feature will allow users to watch video as they continue to chat.
When this update is plugged in, users will be notified, when opening WhatsApp a message will pop up, this message will contain set of rules or terms and conditions and privacy policy.
Users can then only proceed after they have completed the process.
