I believe this technology will be extremely prevalent in the future, and you listed some great benefits of it, but there is one major downside: it makes it incredibly easy to track people to a very close degree of accuracy.

Surveillance states like the UK and the US cannot wait for this technology to be implemented, as it will make their jobs so much easier. And I find that very worrying indeed.
