I always wondered how these scientists, researches and techno-futurists can be so confident in building advanced A.I. when we barely even understand how the human brain and consciousness work.
They sometimes seem intoxicated by the possibilities because they can envision making a revolutionary new breakthrough in science and technology, but they don't really have the thought process to consider the risks.
Why would they bring the that up and risk putting out the wildfire of funding they receive?
