It is a confirmation of what should not be any secret to anyone. The preparation of effective medicines for diseases that torment humanity and the creation of new therapies is simply unprofitable. For corporations it is better to build a sick society, keep it in such condition for as long as possible, and even create new diseases for which there is no medication yet.

Salveen Richter, an analyst at Goldman Sachs, the author of the memo, said that effective one-off drugs in gene therapies are the most desirable among patients struggling with diseases. The problem is that a quick and effective cure of the disease will also bring a one-off profit, and the concerns are after all a steady income.

Richter even gave an example to confirm his view. In 2015, an effective 90-percent drug for hepatitis C was introduced to the market. Its creator, Gilead Sciences, earned over $ 12.5 billion in sales over the year. Now it is about $ 4 billion, so the difference is colossal.

It would be better for Gilead Sciences to create a drug that would keep patients in better health, but at the same time would not heal them completely. Then the company could count on permanent and huge profits.

It will be even better when the drug causes side effects, which will also have to be treated with medication. It all boils down to the fact that the perfect plan for the development of corporations is the transformation of a sick society into regular customers of pharmaceutical concerns.

Perhaps this is why so far in such great pains were born effective medications for the most dangerous diseases in the world, and the latest scientific discoveries instead of serving the public, immediately land in the safes of corporations and never see the light of day.
