NASA showed on the latest films how it will look back to the moon

The United States wants to return to the natural satellite of our planet in 5 years to build the first human colony there, to start the era of cosmic mining and to stay there forever. It must work, there is no other option.
The Artemis program assumes that everything will start with the construction and launch of the first Moon's Space Port module into the orbit of the Silver Globe. It will serve as a research and interchange facility for astronauts as well as a refinery and gas station in one. The head of NASA allocated all possible resources and resources only for work related to the program.

Interestingly, everything indicates that the entire human flight program on the natural satellite of our planet, however, will be implemented with the help of a new, powerful Space Launch System rocket and Orion capsules. NASA wants to start an unmanned SLS rocket flight with the Orion ship into the orbit of the Moon around 2022, then a manned flight into orbit will take place, and then a historical moment will take place, namely a surface landing. In the meantime, the SLS rocket will be supplemented with the Exploration Upper Stage module (SLS Block-1B), making it capable of launching the first module of the Lunar Space Port to the orbit of the Silver Globe.

NASA on the occasion announced the selection of 11 companies, which for a total of 45.5 million dollars will prepare various feasibility studies and prototypes of elements necessary for the flight to the moon. Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman and Boeing got the most orders. Meanwhile, Blue Origin got one prototype and two studies, and SpaceX one study. All devices built by the above companies will fly to the Moon in the 1920s and help in its rapid colonization.

The head of NASA also made it very clear that women will also come back to the moon. Most likely, in the pioneer group itself, which will be the first to receive the honor of walking on the Silver Globe in the Artemis program, there will be women. Perhaps even the new Armstrong will become an astronaut.

There were more interesting news about the use of nuclear propulsion in returning to the Moon, which is expected to take place already in 2024 and last until the end of the next decade. NASA also approached other space agencies with a request to jointly build new space installations. The Artemis project will also involve private companies operating on a daily basis in the world of the space industry.

Recall that NASA has already completed the work on the Space Technology Mission Directorate (STMD), which included Kilopower, a compact nuclear reactor. Its role will be to provide electricity to power lunar or Martian bases and heat them. The reactor is maintenance-free, has a capacity of 10 kilowatts and without any service measures is able to supply electricity to two homes for 10 years.
