A couple of days ago, i did a write up on the technology surrounding the Holodeck we see in Star Trek, Highlighting the Holoverse Euclideon have designed. (you can read it here... https://steemit.com/technology/@techmojo/star-trek-holodeck-is-finally-a-reality-ish)

Well the good guys at Euclideon got in touch with me and gave me a Media Pack for me to use, go into more depth of their products and ultimately share with you.

I am a HUGE Sci-fi fan and Star Trek is right up there with Galactica, Stargate, Star Wars and Red Dwarf. I have been fascinated by the technology in Star Trek and how we could achieve them with current technology.

The holodeck has so much potential in terms of training, connecting with people, gaming, social and teaching, its a wonder we don't have one in every home and take it for granted like a TV, but with the benefit of being able to interact and learn. Everyone from Military to civilian use and everything in-between could take huge advantages of this technology. Even the next bit of kit Euclideon have designed.

In the Iron Man and Avenger films, we see the main character Tony Stark use holograms to help solve puzzles, store 3D models and help him design his Iron Man suits.
Euclideon have a very similar device that is availably to buy right now.

Their tag line sums up what the table can do...
''The Hologram Table by Euclideon Holographics tailors vision to each user through motion-tracking glasses. Holographic objects are able to be interactive, animated, zoomed in and out and moved around''
Using Euclideon's unlimited detail software (you can find details of how it works on the previous post mentioned before.) you can have hyper realistic details as small as a spec of sand, all the way up to an entire country while maintaining the same graphical resolution.

Aimed at business like architects, property development and designers, but I believe in time when game developers and film creators catch on, it could also be used by the likes of you or me. To play massive multiplayer games with a team round each table, Cinemas would be re designed so the table is in the centre and the seating all the way round, viewing from all angles. And a similar arrangement in the home.
Science fiction films have shown us how and why holograms can be beneficial to everyone.

As Euclideon state rightly. Sci-fi has provided over 30 years of free advertisement for them, because this tech IS a reality.

Looks cool, excited it exists, but I'm still skeptical about this generation of virtual/augmented reality.

Hi, @techmojo this is a great technology for sure. As a 3D artist, I can see all the potential of this table. I really would like to try one because what we are seeing on screen is just add with a program like Nuke or After Effect, want to see how it looks like in the glasses. Also, I would love to know the price of the table, I am sure it must cost an arm at least. Thank you for sharing.

no problem. they will be available early 2018 and i think they would be around $40'000 asd for a 5x5ft table. if you want more info. give them a message. [email protected] very friendly to deal with. they are currently looking for distributors too.

Thank you for the info. I will look into it :)
