What Improvements or New features Oreo Introduced?
Improved Battery Life
Battery performance is always the weakness in Android Devices. Android applications takes most of the juice from battery pretty fast as they run majorly in the background. Now in Oreo, the battery life will be extra-ordinary because a new feature has been added named 'doze' which will be a mode works on keeping your running applications in check until you deactivate this mode.

Speed is the life line of any smart phone device. In precious versions of Android, it has been noticed that speed is an issue of concern. But Oreo has come with the improvement of speed. Now, Google revealed that Oreo will deliver a great degree of performance over its predecessors. Even the Boot-up time will be twice faster than previous versions.
Dots Notification Feature
Google Oreo will now support a new feature named 'Dot'. This feature will acts as a notification manager in notification bar. You can add, delete and save future events and in time you'll be reminded of them through a notification on your screen.
New Picture-in-Picture Mode
This feature will allow users to play video over the other running application through a floating window. Although this feature has already been introduced by many other operating system way before but now officially, it will be available on Google Oreo.
Universal Auto-Fill System
Google Oreo comes with a feature of Auto Fill system. It will be an inbuilt application for auto-filling of saved Passwords whenever needed to fill the credentials at the time of logging into some website you already have an account or access. Let's hope you receive your Android Oreo update soon enough.
It might be time to ditch the iPhone...
Ditch your wife too ahahahhaha. kidding
I have to get one first!
Ok ditch your future wife lulz.
Will Smartphone running on Android 5.0 or 6.0 version be able to be upgraded to OREO (8.0 version)? Every newly launched device, product or item has its own pros & cons, so does this OREO, I believe.
The update is aptly named since Google has their hands in everyone's cookie jar. Google is what I call a "necessary" evil. Thanks for sharing this information and for always being a good steward of the Steemit community!
hasn't Doze been there all these while ? I remember seeing that option on my nexus 6p when they updated to Marshmallow & Nugget . Looking forward for the new updates and hope they give me back my Miracast option !!!!! which they took out in Nugget or was it Marshmaow
wow
Thanks for the informative summary! Looking forward to seeing Oreo in action. Seems like Dot will be something I will take for granted in the times to come, and look back to the era before "Dot" as the stone age. :P Hate having to manage notifications all the time. Guess that's the OCD talking. =)
Too bad Samsung will never get the update... Or a year late. Never going to buy a Samsung phone again, that's for sure! Maybe a pixel next time?
