With the improvement in Technology and the inception of Internet, we have unlimited access to knowledge and learning. But this free internet and technology also have some downsides as well. After the inception of internet, the social media and gaming are rising as crazy. Lots of options are available over the internet for gaming or just browsing through various social media platforms. But currently, one game or should I say an application, is making headlines across the whole world, for bad reasons. This application is known as Blue Whale Challenge or The Blue Whale Game.

What is Blue Whale Challenge?

The Blue Whale challenges is an online application which compels users to perform some specific tasks in their real life and the list of these tasks end with the Suicide of that user.

This application is a kind of social phenomenon and becoming popular among teens day by day because of it's virality over the Internet and for the bad reasons. It's not a downloadable application, it's just a social experiment like a survey but with fixed rules and consistency.

How Blue Whale Challenge Works?

The Blue Whale challenge works by giving some tasks to their users. This application is controlled by a group of administrators who gives participants some tasks on the daily basis. There is list of tasks which a user has to complete to finish the challenge. There are total of 50 tasks which has to completed within 50 days, 1 task per day. To monitor users tasks, administrators direct their users to upload the pictures of specific tasks to prove its genuinity.

At first, the tasks begins with some easy and low tasks like listening to odd music, watching a horror movie, walking some odd miles on a strange road but as the tasks move forward, they become grusome and horrific, involving cut your hand with blade, carve your chest with the whale symbol and finally commit suicide.

There is no fixed way to track this game, some say that it is a social phenomenon and doesn't have a specific website, so it can't be traced and seized. Some say that it is connected with social media platform where admins come and make contact with users where they exchange information about the challenge and after the approval of users, they share details of address where the pictures by users have to be submitted.

What is the Criticism Over This Game?

This game or challenge is pure evil and definitely not for those whose mental state is not normal and this is especially not for teenagers. In Russia, where this game has originated few years ago, 130 people got dead because of this game. In the beginning they played it for curiosity and then with time and to complete this game they committed suicide in the end. Some people also go arrested on the basis of some proofs which connected them with this Blue whale challenge.

In India too, a 14 year old boy had committed suicide few days ago in order to complete this game performing the final task of committing suicide. His parents didn't know about this game, they were in shock after he committed suicide because he was a good student and has no other stress in his life. His friends told the officers that he was playing this game for sometime.

So, this game is becoming more and more complicated day by day and officials or governments trying to get hold over it's regulators and administrators to shut down this phenomenon for good.

How To Prevent Yourself and Your Loved Ones From This Game?

To prevent any casualty from this game, Governments of all the countries are taking major actions against those people who are connected to it anyhow. Police officers are advising the parents to keep an eye on their children, especially teenagers, so that no other casualty arise from this game.

People who finds themselves emotionally or mentally unstable should keep themselves away from this game and don't even try to open this game out of curiosity. This game is pure evil and affect those severely who are emotionally or mentally weak.
