Elon Musk and Tesla Do It Again!!!!

On Thursday, Tesla held the announcement of their electric semi. Elon Musk spent a great deal of time promoting the product before the announcement which set expectations high. From the reviews that came in the last two days, it seems that even with inflated expectations, Musk and Tesla exceeded them.

There was no price released on the truck yet reports are that WalMart ordered 15 trucks while the Canadian firm Loblaws ordered 25. Please keep in mind, they companies are laying down a $5,000 deposit per truck without having any idea on the price.

The biggest selling point was the cost of operation. Again, Tesla did not release the specifics yet Musk assured that it is substantially less to run this vehicle as compared to diesel trucks. Couple this with the fact that many companies are focusing upon their reducing their carbon footprint and it becomes evident that Tesla could have a huge winner on its hands.

For a company that continues to lose a ton of money each quarter, the central fact that they are changing the transportation sector right before our eyes. Wall Street seems to agree with this assessment since they keep funding anything Musk wants to do.
