Automation Will Happen Quicker NowsteemCreated with Sketch.

As I do my regular surfing, I am coming across many who are discussing the idea of automation taking over jobs. With 10 million people in the United States filing for unemployment in the last two weeks alone, the number of jobs is dwindling due to the coronavirus.

The question is how many of them will be available when things turns around?

Companies were already pushing into automation. This is not a new trend. The manufacturing sector, before the shutdown of the economy, was at an all-time high in production yet suffered the loss of 1,5 million jobs.

Artificial Intelligence is opening up another door since it is starting to attack white collar jobs. Software is, indeed, starting to take over the world.

There are two aspect to this equation. We are going to see the adoption of automation start to take out more jobs. This is in keeping with the last decade.

The coronavirus is going to further impact things since investment in automation is certainly going to increase. Companies now have incentive to reduce the number of people involved in the business process.

One thing this situation taught everyone is that people shut everything down. If companies were fully automated, the disruption would be lessened.

Automation is also going to radically alter the geo-political situation. We are likely to see supply chains radically adjusted. A country like China, the destination for global manufacturing, is going to see a decrease as companies diversify their chains.

By increasing automation, companies are able to decrease the cost of operations by eliminating people. For most organizations, payroll is one of the largest expenses.

Technologies such as 3D printing could drive down the cost of manufacturing while providing customized solutions.

The challenge is there are many different directions this is coming from. With software, robotics, 3D printing, and drones, there are a lot of areas of research.

It will only take a few breakthroughs in some industries to have an enormous impact.

One thing we know, companies are only going to accelerate the race to automate.

This appears to be the consensus out there.

And what do you think this will benefits us? I would like to know what you think about automation, universal income, 3d printing!

I think it is going to be hard on people. There will be lots of jobs lost.

However, we should see things decentralizing. 3D printing is an amazing technology that should create localized manufacturing.

As for universal income, at some point technology is likely to cause so much job destruction to the average person that it is going to be required. Once it starts, I have a feeling it will spread from country to country.

Ultimately, I think this all benefits crypto. We are seeing projects that move away from the centralized structure. We are seeing a more digitized world which is playing into the open source and decentralized mindset.

Interesting view and thank you to share it with me. Maybe a lot of new types of jobs will appear in the crypto sphere that we don't know today from the emergence of those technologies.

Yeah more people feel hungry now because of Ncov-19 like here in philippines
