The Matrix

The Matrix movie is one of the best movies of all time. I say this because when it came out, it completely blew my mind, and I cannot say that about any movie that has come out since then.

The idea that everything we know to be reality, is in fact all an illusion, a virtual reality. Not so mind blowing these days, but when this movie first came out.. wow.. total mind bender!

Now we have virtual reality head sets for gaming systems. I have not used one, but I hear it is quite the experience.

Imagine what virtual reality will be like in 10 or 20 years from now. Will it even enter into every day life and the work place? Imagine, instead of conference calls with video and desktop sharing, we are all in a virtual conference room bringing up our work on a virtual screen! Imagine going out to a club, or a on a date, or a visit to the zoo, or even traveling the world without ever leaving home.

The possibilities are endless. I would love to experience flying on a dragon like Khaleesi on Game of Thrones. If I could wonder around in a magical world with magical creatures and my own magical powers, I'd never want to leave.
