Technology in today's world is growing and proliferating at a vertiginous rate. Accordingly, many of your employees, especially the older ones of them, may find it hard to keep pace with all this plethora of technological advancements flooding us literally every day. Yet, from the company's perspective, the absence of tech literacy among its employees may prove to be a serious handicap. However, it may also hurt the company if they just let old workers, who come with valuable experience in addition to different important skill sets, go away in favor of new ones. So, the solution could be to help the existing employees become more tech-savvy and help them build new skills. Below are three ways by which this can be achieved.

Course Offerings

Many companies team up with universities and community colleges which will offer training to employees at subsidized costs. You may ask your employees to attend these courses so they can familiarize themselves with different technological developments. The company may also try to find out one or more people from among their roster who are enough tech-savvy and request them, in exchange for a stipend, to conduct classes for their less tech-literate colleagues. 

Cyber Security Awareness Training

It is often found that people feel apprehensive about using technology as they are afraid of mishandling important information and thereby unwittingly causing a breach of security. This is why cyber security awareness training or guides can come handy as these will detail the employees about proper cyber conduct, policies and procedures as well as help them gain more knowledge about concepts such as cyber threats, cyber attacks, and so on. 

Tutorials

Another very effective way is to create and upload tutorials on various subjects on a private channel on YouTube. The companies will need to invest in a screen-sharing software and once the tutorials are prepared, send the links over to the employees who can then go through the lessons and practice them at their free time.
