You might have heard myths from dragons to something more serious. Today we are gonna focus on myths related to tech items and whether they are true or not so let's just jump right into it!

1. Incognito Mode



Incognito mode is present in almost all major browsers nowadays. Many people believe that incognito mode makes as completely anonymous from the internet and you can browse any website without getting recognized. This myth is completely wrong, incognito mode doesn't prevent any website from tracking you. All that it does is, prevent from recording any history or importing bookmarks.

2. Mac won't get viruses



This is also a common misconception between people of windows and mac. This myth is also wrong, you need to install a good antivirus in mac also to prevent it from being attacked by malware and viruses. That's true that viruses are very less on mac compared to windows but that doesn't mean that they are completely gone.

3. Overcharging is Bad



You might of heard from your friends to not put your phone at charging overnight as it can damage the battery. This myth is also wrong, you will never find anything related to it in any manual, article or guide. There isn't any news regarding phone getting destroyed or battery getting damaged. In most smartphones these days, there is overcharging protection which protects battery from getting damaged by overcharging.

4. More Bars are Better



Many people think if we compare two smartphones, one with 4 signal bars and one with 3 then phone with 4 signal bars will perform better than the phone with 3 bars. This myth is also wrong the bars that you see are just an indication that tells you that your phone is receiving signals or at how much distance are you from the radio tower. Sometimes the network is very busy and even if you are right beside the radio tower you will face issues. The bars are different in every mobile phone and the company adjusts at which signal strength to show how many bars so comparing two mobile phones according to bars is not correct.

5. Never use 3rd Party Chargers



This myth, like above one is also false. You can use any charger with any phones as long as pins match and company is reputable. Keep in mind that your charger which you are using is original and not duplicate.

6. Always Safely Remove USB



This is also a misconception between people that removing USB directly instead of safely removing USB can cause trouble. This is in face false, It will not cause any harm to your PC or USB if you take it out directly. It can cause trouble, in some cases like if you are copying or moving any file then taking USB out at the middle of it can cause the files to not copy properly or not copy at all.

7. Smartphones Can Cause Cancer



No one at this time is able to prove that the mobile phones can cause cancer.

The radiofrequency electromagnetic radiation they transmit and receive is very weak. This radiation does not have enough energy to damage DNA, and cannot directly cause cancer.
