My new phone charges to 100% within 1 hour with the new type of wire that was given at purchase. If you want to be really futuristic, then the next generation phone chargers will use the human body to power itself.

Combined with a form of fusion, the machines had found all the energy they would ever need," according to Morpheus from Matrix. So, I guess we can just plug our phones into an adaptor surgically installed into our arms or something.
