Reasons why your PC boot slower and how to fix it

At some point we all get frustrated when our pc or laptop is taking forever to boot, sometimes we feel like smashing it especially when we have something urgent to do but its taking a long time to boot.

Here are few things that might caused it and how to fix it

1.Too many autostart softwares: When your Pc boots the first thing it does is load all the necessary softwares and drivers to make the pc function well... but having too many of them might be a problem.

Imagine it when your System boot it starts softwares like yahoo Messenger, idm, your antivirus program, and so much more, this might hinder it from booting faster.

What you can do: go to your search bar type 'msconfig' without the quotes go to the startup bar and disable any unnecessary softwares you don't need on startup apply and restart.
Note: There are some softwares that are require for your System to run very well don't disable them...in brief you shouldn't disable any softwares you can't identify by name i.e idm.

2. Junk files: These are files created by windows or other programs during installing and running save on your hard drive, most of them are useless in which you can clean to free up space and make your Computer run faster.

what you can do: Go to your search bar type 'disk cleanup' without the quotes select 'c' drive or wherever you install your Windows click ok and check all the boxes and clean them or you can download softwares like cc cleaner

3. Malware: Your Computer might be infected with virus, hence taking much of your Ram and making your Computer to boot slower or sometimes not boot all which is bad.

what you can do: Get yourself a good antivirus program and perform a thorough scan on your Pc

4. Insufficient Ram: not having enough Ram or memory stick on your system might caused it to boot slower

what you can do: Upgrade your Memory stick
