Apple Confesses To Reducing Battery Performance Of Older iPhones

The US tech giant, Apple confessed that it has been reducing the performance of older iPhones with lower capacity batteries to prevent unexpected shutdowns.

In a statement released by Apple, it shared that it has launched a software update in iOS which will improve power management during peak workloads. The update will manage the maximum performance of the phone in order to stop it from shutting down. However, in particular cases, users may experience longer launch times for apps and other reductions in performance.
