যুক্তরাষ্ট্রের শিকাগোতে এক ‘এডুকেশন ইভেন্টে’ নতুন একটি সুলভ আইপ্যাড বাজারে আনার ঘোষণা দিয়েছে অ্যাপল। ২৭ মার্চ ২০১৮, যেদিন প্রযুক্তি বিশ্বে শাওমি মি মিক্স ২এস এবং হুয়াওয়ে পি২০ প্রো নিয়ে ব্যাপক মাতামাতি চলছিল, সেদিনই পূর্বঘোষিত এডুকেশন ইভেন্টে আগে থেকে অনুমিত এই ট্যাবলেট ডিভাইস প্রকাশ করল টেক জায়ান্ট। শিকাগোর একটি উচ্চবিদ্যালয়ে ওই ইভেন্টটি অনুষ্ঠিত হয়।
৩২৯ ডলার (শুরু) দামের এই ৯.৭ ইঞ্চি আইপ্যাডটিকে অ্যাপল বলছে, তাদের সবচেয়ে সুলভ আইপ্যাড। এর কোনো আলাদা নাম নেই। সরাসরি ৯.৭ ইঞ্চি আইপ্যাড হিসেবেই এর পরিচিতি। স্কুলের শিক্ষার্থীদের জন্য এর ৩২জিবি মডেলের দাম হবে ২৯৯ ডলার। ১২৮জিবি ভ্যারিয়েন্টের সাধারণ দাম হবে ৪২৯ ডলার।
নতুন এই আইপ্যাডে রয়েছে ৯.৭ ইঞ্চি রেটিনা ডিসপ্লে, ৮ মেগাপিক্সেল ব্যাক ক্যামেরা, ১.২ মেগাপিক্সেল ফেইসটাইম ফ্রন্ট ক্যামেরা, ফিঙ্গারপ্রিন্ট সেন্সর, অ্যাপল এ১০ ফিউশন চিপ, অগমেন্টেড রিয়েলিটি, অ্যাপল পেন্সিল সাপোর্ট প্রভৃতি।
নতুন এই আইপ্যাড চলবে আইওএস ১১ অপারেটিং সিস্টেমে। এতে অ্যাপল পেন্সিল ব্যবহার করে ছবি আঁকা ও অন্যান্য শিক্ষামূলক কার্যক্রম সম্ভব হবে। সাথে থাকছে অ্যাপলের বিভিন্ন ক্রিয়েটিভ টুল। ট্যাবলেটটির ওয়াইফাই অনলি এবং ওয়াইফাই + এলটিই ভার্সন পাওয়া যাবে।
