South African Solar Race
South African Solar Challenge
South African Solar Race
The race will start tomorrow on 24 September and will last for 8 days over a distance of 2000 km. The race will start in Pretoria and will end in Cape Town.
The race is for students who design and build the cars. The race is designed to increase interest in science, technology, engineering and maths. In this way students get the opportunity to translate the theory they have learned in the classroom into practice.
Various international teams will take part in the race as well as as two South African high school teams who will use old cars from previous races and two private non university South African teams
Below is pictures of the cars and the teams that will take part, I hope to update the progress of teams daily.
