Net neutrality enables Nazis

The central promise of net neutrality is to treat all information on the internet equally. Because of progressivism's century long dominance of American culture, egalitarianism has become an unquestionable moral "good" in the United States. Borrowing from an idea I originally heard from author Michael Malice and historian Thaddeus Russell, (and have subsequently added my own thoughts to) progressivism is Christianity without the mythology. 

In this narrative, America has its own creation story in which the founding fathers (patriarchal figures like Adam) create the US. America is flawed by slavery, like the world is flawed with original sin. The civil war is the great flood, in which the world is remade to get rid of its sins. Abraham Lincoln (Noah) carries the "good" parts of the old world into the new remade world. In the 20th century America is remade into a country dedicated to egalitarianism. America solidified its commitment to equality in the equal protection clause of the 14th amendment and the Civil Rights Act and Voting Rights Act. The natural continuation of this is the equal protection of not only people, but of information. After all, information comes from people, and if you say certain information is better than another, you're saying that certain ideas or ideologies are better, and certain ideologies tend to come from certain people. (this isn't inherent, but there are explanations of why this is the case.) 

So progressivism dictates that information everywhere should be treated equally. Is there any precedent for what this might mean? Let's look to the internet before there was internet: television. The idea for net neutrality is already applied to something called public access TV. Public access has to treat all content equally, it can't censor certain content based on what people will want to see. Aside from being terrible TV because it's not subject to market forces, public access is known for something else, it hosts undesirable and vile ideologies like white supremacists and Nazism. There is nothing they can do about it, treating people equally is the mandate of their own ideology. 

If you recall, the daily stormer (a Nazi website) was forced to move their website on the internet over and over because nobody wanted to host their website for obvious reasons. Under net neutrality, ISP's could no longer discriminate against certain types of content, and would be forced to not slow down content like this that everyone except them find undesirable. This might explain why Richard Spencer is actually in favor of net neutrality. Statists are statists no matter what.
