I agree. The sad thing is where you currently live and how wealthy you are will just include only a small portion of humanity
The sad thing is that I am one of about four people in Bellingham WA that knows what a blockchain is... so you my friend are winning harder than many people! Secondly to answer your question said Deep Learning algorithms lead to what we call Artificial Narrow Intelligence... its much too ... narrow to emulate or simulate human consciousness. Before we can make a computer thats self aware we will have to first understand how it is that we are self aware (thats my opinion).
